I am excited to be the newest member of the instructor group and looking forward to increasing my skills and spreading the enthusiasm of Dance Moves with my students!

I started taking classes in January 2019 and quickly recognized what a unique program Dance Moves is, in that it provides a full-body workout of cardio, strength, and flexibility while challenging the mind to learn choreography in a way that is attainable for all ages and fitness levels.  I was honoured when Linda asked me to start the process of becoming an instructor and was just finishing when the pandemic changed everything for us.  I was not really involved in dance as a child, but I was a competitive gymnast and then taught recreational gymnastics to children through high school and university.  I was a cheerleader in high school, and as an adult, I discovered Egyptian belly dance, which I enjoy for its variety of movement and celebration of women's bodies.

By day, I am a radiation therapist at the Cross Cancer Institute and I specialize in clinical trials and radiation oncology research.  Through the winter, my weekends are spent volunteering with the Canadian Ski Patrol at Marmot Basin, and I am also a first aid instructor with them.  My husband and I do not have any children, but our lives are full of travel, hiking, skiing, cycling, golfing, climbing...and whatever we discover next.
